Del

I like "Test Signal Belloc."

Did you draw this, Tim?

Tim J.

Yes, Del, and thanks... but I'm not altogether happy with it. I'm working on an approach to caricature and haven't hit it, yet (to my satisfaction, anyway).

Belloc looks to me a little too much like Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, which I think he might find irritating or amusing, or both. Maybe it's the uncharacteristic buzz cut. But, the great thing is, I get to try again!

Maolsheachlann

Nobody could mistake that jawline!

Tim J.

Hey, Maolsheachlann, your blog is terrific!

Maolsheachlann O Ceallaigh

Thank you so much for the kind comment, Tim. I like this blog, too!

The tone of The League of Bearded Catholics reminds me of this couplet, quoted by Dorothy Sayers in the introduction to Chesterton's unproduced play, The Surprise:

Five things these Chestertonian youths revere:
Beef, noise, the Church, vulgarity and beer.

And what's wrong with that? Especially as Chesterton defended vulgarity time and time again! In any case, I thought it might amuse you.
