Note the proximity of the glass of beer to the open jar of turpentine? I have more than once absent-mindely dipped a brush into my drink. The warning labels on my paint tubes don't mention this specific maneuver, but it's not a recommended use.
This can also happen with coffee. Just so you know.

On a number of occasions I've done the same, but I am neurotic enough to catch myself just in time.
Coffee is easily enough thrown in the sink and refilled, but beer? Oi. Five second rule. Bottom's up. "Mmmm, this ale has an exquisite damar finish to it."
Okay, I'll shut up.
