There is a little bit of a retro-renaissance going on in automotive design, at least from the Amercian manufacturers. The Ford Thunderbird, the Dodge Challenger/Charger, the Camaro, all look back to the 50's and 60's that were the heyday for those vehicles.

You also see areodynamics (form following function, or at least following efficiency), and organic elements involved in some of the higher end vehicles (sharp angles and boxiness giving way to softer and fuller curves). Guys referred to cars as female back in the day precisely because the form of the car should follow the curviness of our more genetically favored female specimens. I tend to agree.

Like how you put that one, Matt! But does that also apply to motorbikes? In contrast to the curves you mentioned it seems these vintage ones are more heavy and muscular. Do the bikes on those pictures still run?
